Bath Labs moves into new premises in the centre of Bath.
Bath Labs gets permission from the owners to use a dis-used railway tunnel for extensive transport communications trials. Why a tunnel? Well a tunnel through solid rock is a pretty good ‘Faraday cage’. With the right sort of OFCOM licence, it is possible to transmit experimentally using frequencies that couldn’t otherwise be used. Trials are due to start later in 2012, once an OFCOM licence is issued.
